Volume 1 Issue 1 of a new journal - eCAM - is now available. Published by Oxford University Press, and with a international editorial board, the journal is fully and freely available on the Web.

A new open access outlet for chemists peer reviewed research was launched today. Chemistry Central Journal. Publisher BMC says, the journal is the first international open access journal covering all of chemistry and will publish its first issue early in 2007.

The Public Library of Science (PLoS) announces the creation of PLoS Neglected Tropical Diseases, the first open access journal devoted to the world's most neglected diseases.
